Ice cave tour – a frozen adventure on snowshoes and crampons

Snowshoeing is the nicest way to hike from Nybyen all the way up to Larsbreen (Lars Glacier) and then get into the ice caves. Discover the frozen and marvellous labyrinths hidden underneath the glaciers. This trip is about 5 hours, reaching 350m over the sea level to the entrance of the ice grotto. You will be provided with the right equipment, such as helmets, crampons and headlamps. Later the guide will stop and serve some biscuits and hot drinks to relax and share the first impressions of the day.
We highly recommend ice caving if you also like hiking, then this is an adventure you must experience yourself! Better for you to be in moderate good physical shape, so you can enjoy this tour in proper conditions, since you are not only walking and hiking but also crawling through narrow tunnels in the cave. Not suitable for claustrophobic people and/or with back pain.
